This course will occur in the field for ten days during the first weeks of June. The locality of the field exercise is the Piobbico (PU) area (Northern Apennine) and will consist in a survey of a little area in which Mesozoic Umbria Sequence terrains outcrop.
This field exercise of the biennium end set the target of to offer at the students the possibility to translate in practice they theoretical geological knowledge.

Course program
During the first two days the sedimentary succession of the study area is showed and explained. During the remaining days the student will do their field survey work. The students will work in pairs on an area of 1 Km2.
The last two days will expend to the revision of all survey zones and to the compilation of a general map with the relative report which will be the sum of all single zones. During these ten days seminaries and lessons the topics of which are both the studying rocks and the field survey techniques. Other teachers of the Corso di Laurea in Scienze Geologiche will collaborate in this field didactic activity.
