Knowledge acquired: The aim of the course is to provide the tools necessary for the realization of geological maps using the tools of the geologist and reading and interpretation of them. Competence acquired Basic principles of how to behave in a campaign to recognize a geological map and how to write and read Skills acquired (at the end of the course): Ability to perform a geological survey on the ground.

A basic understanding of the main concepts and theory in geology is required. It is assumed that the reader is familiar with: the major rock - forming minerals, how to identify minerals in hand specimen, rock classification, geological processes and common geological terms.
